World AIDS Day serves as a reminder of the global struggle to end HIV-related stigma, an opportunity to honor those we have lost and a rallying cry to continue working toward our mission of eradicating health inequity through unconditional care.
The theme of World AIDS Day 2025 is “overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.” Amid ongoing challenges to the HIV response, we find hope in the determination and resilience of people living with HIV.
We commemorated World AIDS Day at 206 S. Elmwood Ave. on December 1 with a display of Buffalo’s Mending of the Hearts quilts. All month long, you can visit to view the quilts and to add a ribbon in memory of those we’ve lost to our red ribbon wall.
