Evergreen Health and Community Access Services (CAS) to Host Public Meeting about CAS Kensington-Bailey Project on April 25

Members of the community are invited to attend and provide their input on the future healthcare facility in the Kensington-Bailey area

BUFFALO, NY – Evergreen Health and its affiliate Community Access Services (CAS), invite local community members to attend a public meeting on Tuesday, April 25 to discuss the new healthcare center coming to the Kensington-Bailey area. The meeting will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gerard Place at 2515 Bailey Avenue in Buffalo.

In January 2023, Evergreen Health and CAS announced the purchase of land at the intersection of Kensington and Bailey Avenue in Buffalo to serve as the future home of a new healthcare facility. In an effort to expand healthcare services while better understanding the health priorities of the community, the organizations will look to residents and local community members to provide input and feedback.

“We are eager to begin this exciting endeavor as we look to continue to expand our comprehensive care services and programs, particularly to those who are underserved and undervalued by the healthcare system,” said Ray Ganoe, president and CEO, Evergreen Health. “To effectively meet the healthcare needs and expectations for residents within the Kensington-Bailey area and nearby neighbors, we look forward to meeting with local community members in-person to understand how the new CAS and Evergreen location can best serve them.”

Since 2003, CAS, an affiliate of Evergreen Health, has provided quality healthcare and supportive services to underserved communities in Buffalo and Erie County, including HIV testing and counseling, health support groups, nutrition outreach and education, food donations, and more. Together, the two organizations continue to connect individuals and families throughout Western New York to medical, supportive, and behavioral services, especially those who are underserved by the healthcare system, with Evergreen celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

“Our goal for this new facility is to help make inclusive and judgment-free healthcare available to even more people in our community,” said Kim Brown, executive director, Community Access Services. “In holding this public meeting, we can start identifying the key areas that will positively impact and change the lives of many local individuals.”
