Puerto Rican and Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 – October 15.

Happy Puerto Rican and Hispanic Heritage Month! We’re proud to celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Puerto Rican and Hispanic communities, this month and always. 

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from the middle of September to the middle of October because many Central American countries celebrate their independence days within these dates, beginning on September 15 with Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. By aligning with these independence dates, Hispanic Heritage Month honors the resilience and determination of the Hispanic community.

Flu shots are available now.

Flu season will be here before we know it! The best way to stay healthy is to get your annual flu shot. The vaccine helps protect you and your loved ones from serious illness, and getting it now can help you stay ahead of flu season.  

Ask about getting your flu shot at your next visit or call the clinic to schedule. You can also walk into our Pharmacy at 206 S. Elmwood or 800 Hertel to get your flu shot. It’s quick and safe! 

Introducing Dr. Martha Leong!  

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Martha Leong, our supervising physician for our Bailey Ave’s primary and specialty care team. 

Dr. Leong is a family physician who completed training at St. George’s University, followed by family medicine residency completed at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She has now lived in Buffalo with her family for over ten years, with much of her time as a physician spent in the community health center setting. 

Outside of work, she spends her time running both to prepare for her first half marathon this fall, as well as to keep up with her 3 young kids and German Shepherd! She is now accepting new primary care patients at our 3297 Bailey Ave. location.
