Testing is quick and easy at Evergreen Health. Our Buffalo and Jamestown health centers accepts appointments for HIV, hepatitis C and STI/STD testing. You can always count on our team to be non-judgmental, affirming, educational and understanding.

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), also known as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), pass from person-to-person through any sexual contact, including anal, oral or vaginal sex. The only way to know if you have an STI/STD is through testing. You’ll know your results within a week. We offer screenings for gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia.
HIV is a virus that passes from person-to-person through unprotected sexual contact or contact with HIV-positive blood. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS. The only way to know if you have HIV is to get tested. Once you get tested you’ll know your preliminary results within 20 minutes. If you test positive for HIV, you will need ongoing medical care. We can begin discussing a treatment plan right away.
Hepatitis C is an infection that passes from person to person through contact with hepatitis C – positive blood. The only way to know if you have hepatitis C is to get tested. It only takes 20 minutes to learn your preliminary results.
Often, STIs/STDs show no symptoms at all. If you think you may have come into contact with an STI, you should get tested.
Syphilis has four stages. It’s important to treat syphilis as early as possible. When syphilis is left untreated, it can have long term effects.
HIV often doesn’t have any symptoms, but some people initially experience symptoms that feel like a cold, the flu, or even mono (mononucleosis). These symptoms can include a fever, achiness and a sore throat.
Hepatitis C often doesn’t have any symptoms. You should be tested for hepatitis C if you think that you have come in contact with hepatitis C.

For uninsured or underinsured patients, we offer a sliding fee discount program to provide care to patients at a cost they can afford. To apply for our sliding fee discount program, please fill out the application and bring it to your provider’s office. If you test positive for HIV or hepatitis C, you’ll need ongoing medical care.
